AT THE CASEY-O'DONNELL FAMILY FUNERAL HOME - WATERBURY CT -- MORRIS CT. Mary (Serella) Dick, age 93, formerly of Waterbury, died Friday at Watertown Convalarium after an extended illness. She was the widow of Clarence E. Dick who passed away January 22, 2001.
Mary was born August 23, 1916 in New York, a daughter of the late Michael and Melvina (Szmajlo) Serella. She was raised in the Union City section of Naugatuck, a graduate of St. Hedwigs Grammar School and Naugatuck High School. She was a dedicated homemaker, wife and mother. Mary enjoyed playing cards and was an avid Boston Red Sox fan. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Grace Church in Bantam.
Mary leaves two sons, Vincent H. Dick and his wife Irene of Bantam and Michael E. Dick and his wife Chris of South Carolina and a grandson Jared Dick of Naugatuck.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Dick will be held on Wednesday May 5, 2010 with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at Our Lady of Grace Church, RT 202 Bantam at am. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. Memorial donations in Mrs. Dick's memory may be made to Morris Senior Center
