AT THE CASEY-O'DONNELL FAMILY FUNERAL HOME ?" Cheshire ?" Mary A. (D'Antonio) Gagne, age 87, formerly of Musso View Ave Cheshire, died Tuesday at Abbott Terrace Health Care after an extended illness with her family by her side. She was the widow of Leo H. Gagne Sr.
Mrs. Gagne was born in Waterbury on November 21, 1921, the daughter of the late Umberto and Liberate (Cirilli) D'Antonio. Mary was a loving and dedicated homemaker taking pride in raising her family and caring for her grandchildren. She worked various part time positions including, working as a aide at the Cheshire House in Waterbury and at the Children's Discovery Center in Cheshire as a aide. She was a classic movie enthusiast and a member of the Church of the Epiphany in Cheshire.
Mary is survived by two children, her son, Leo Gagne Jr. of Waterbury and her daughter, Lori Kuhne of Wolcott, two grandchildren, Ronald Nichols Jr. and Michelle Gagne. She also leaves a brother, Mario D'Antonio and two sisters, Yolanda Cipriano and Eva Battistrada and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Gagne will be held on Friday, March 20, 2009 at 9:00am from the Casey-O'Donnell Family Funeral Home, 1581 East Main St Waterbury to the Church of the Epiphany, 1750 Huckins Rd. Cheshire for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am. Burial will follow in New Calvary Cemetery, Waterbury. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6-8pm.
