WATERTOWN - Mary (DeCarlo) Himchak, age 95, of Watertown passed away peacefully on Monday, April 6th 2020 at Saint Mary's Hospital. She was the widow Anthony Himchak.
Mary was born November 29, 1924 in Waterbury, CT, the daughter of the late Louis and Angeline (Meclici) DeCarlo. She was educated in local schools and spent many years working as a nurse's aide at Grove Manor Nursing Home in Waterbury until her retirement. Mary was a parishioner of St. John the Evangelist in Watertown. She loved her work, her faith, her friends and most especially, her family. She will be sadly missed by all who were blessed to know and love her.
Left to honor her memory and cherish her love and legacy is her sister, Angeline Pirone of Waterbury, and Sandra Millett, her nephews; Michael Malena of New York, Salvatore DeCarlo and his wife, Connie of Oakville, and Vincent DeCarlo and his wife Lynn of Milford, Massachusetts. Mary also leaves behind her niece, Rosalie Paoloni and her husband, Mark Paoloni of Wolcott. She was predeceased by her sister. Jeanette Briody and her four brothers, Salvatore, James, Charles and Joseph DeCarlo.
Due to the current corona virus guidelines and associated governmental restrictions regarding the pandemic, all services for Mrs. Himchak will be held privately and at the convenience of her family.
