WATERBURY Mary E. Hyland, age 90, of Baldwin St Waterbury passed away peacefully on Monday June 10, 2013 at the Beacon Brook Nursing Home in Naugatuck after an extended illness.
Ms. Hyland was form March 25, 1923 in Waterbury the daughter of the late Michael and Whilimena (Nuhn) Hyland. She was a lifelong resident of Waterbury, graduate of Wilby High School and was a secretary at Scovill Mfg. and Century Brass for many years. Mary enjoyed reading, socializing with hr close circle of friends and spending time with her family. She was a parishioner of St. Francis Xavier Church. Mary's family would like to acknowledge and thank the wonderful staff at Beacon Brook Healthcare for al of the wonderful care they shared with Mary during her stay there.
Among her survivors are her brother, Robert Hyland and his wife Elizabeth of Cheshire and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Mary will be held on Thursday, June 13, 2012 at 9:15am from Eastside Memorial, A CASEY FAMILY FUNERAL HOME AND TRIBUTE CENTER, 1987 East Main St @ Southmayd Rd to St. Francis Xavier Church, 625 Baldwin St Waterbury to celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30AM. Rite of committal will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waterbury. Relatives and friends may visit with Mary's family on Thursday morning at the funeral home from 8:15 to 9:15am.
