OAKVILLE -Mary M. Russo age 96 of Oakville, passed away peacefully on Sunday July 10th 2016 at Apple Health & Rehabilitation Center after an extended illness. She was the widow of John H. Russo.

Mary was born August 23, 1919 in Waterbury, CT, the daughter of the late Ira and Josephine (Taylor) Holdridge. She attended local schools and spent many years working as a custodian for SNET until her retirement. Mary was devoted to her family and was always the happiest while spending time with family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of Union Congregational Church in Oakville.

Among her survivors are her children, Jack Russo and his wife, Kathy of Oakville, Ralph Russo and his wife, Gail of Englewood FL, and Ken Russo of Oakville, her grandchildren, Scott, Kent, Michele, and Michael, and her great grandchildren, Sarah, Joseph, Travis, and Emily in addition to numerus nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her daughter in law, Kathy (Hannon) Russo and her siblings, Lawrence, John, Pat, David, Clarence, Nettie, Pearl, Alice, and Julia.

The Russo family would like to thank and acknowledge the nurses and staff at Apple Health & Rehab for the overwhelming love, support, and care they provided to Mary and her family during her stay.

Funeral services for Mrs. Russo will be held on Thursday, July 14, 2016 at 11:00am at O'Neill Funeral Home 742 Main St Oakville CT, followed by committal services in Evergreen Cemetery, Watertown. Relatives and friends may visit with Mary's family at the funeral home on Thursday morning from 9:00am until the time of the service.
