THE CASEY FAMILY IS HONORED TO BE CARING FOR AND ASSISTING THE FAMILY OF MARY M. TRACY
WATERBURY - Mary M. Tracy, age 90, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love and care of her family on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at the Vitas Innovative Care Unit of St. Mary's Hospital. She was the widow of Arthur A. Tracy.
Mary was born on December 20, 1930 in Waterbury the daughter of the late John and Dorothy (Gillette) Maxwell. She was educated in local schools and graduated from Sacred Heart High School. After she raised her eight children, Mary returned to school and graduated from Teikyo Post University with honors, a distinction she and her family were very proud of. She worked for many years at St. Mary's Hospital as an aide and in later years in the hospital switchboard. Mary was very active in her younger years in the Waterbury community and was an active member of the East End Community Club. She was an avid reader, loved her pets and a longtime supporter of W.A.R.C. Most of all, Mary was proud of and happiest in the midst of her family. Holidays and family gathering took on great meaning in the Tracy household. Mary will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know and love her.
Left to honor Mary's legacy and treasure her memories are her eight children; Natalie Quinn and her husband Kerry of Waterbury, Mark Tracy of Waterbury, Matthew Tracy and his wife, Linda of Newport News VA, Amy Veneziano and her husband Gary of Waterbury, Pamela Tracy of Waterbury, Luke Tracy and his wife, Etta of Woodbury John Tracy of Waterbury and Bart Tracy of Naugatuck. Mary was blessed with 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Tracy will be held privately at the convenience of her family. Mary will be placed in interment with her husband at Arlington National Cemetery, Columbarium. Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Services 1987 E. Main Street, Waterbury, CT has been honored to assist the Tracy family during this difficult time.
