Beloved Wife, Mother, and Grandmother
WATERBURY - Mrs. Maureen (Heath) Cremers, age 86, of Waterbury, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 9, 2023, at the Waterbury Center Nursing and Rehabilitation, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family after a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of Eugene Cremers Sr.
Maureen was born October 14, 1936, in Waterbury, CT, the daughter of the late John and Genevieve (Smith) Heath. Maureen was a loving and dedicated mother and wife who devoted herself to her family. She was always happiest while spending time with her family, especially the time she spent swimming with her grandchildren. Maureen was truly unique in so many ways. She made the world a better place for all of us, and we are all blessed and thankful to have had her in our lives.
Left to cherish her memory and honor her legacy, besides her devoted husband, Eugene, of 59 years, are her daughter, Cynthia Nolan, and her husband, Sean, of Waterbury, her sons; Eugene Cremers Jr., of Waterbury and Christopher Cremers, and his wife, Lauren, of Woodstock. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Ciro Cremers, Maureen Nolan, Michelle Radtke, Michael Cremers, Megan Santiago, Christopher Cremers, Mitchell Cremers, and Jacob Cremers, as well as her five great-grandchildren. Besides her parents, Maureen was predeceased by her sister, Virginia Coughlan, and was considered to be a proud second mother to Virginia’s children.
The Cremers family would like to thank and acknowledge the nurses, doctors and staff at the Waterbury Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation for the compassion and the exceptional care they provided to Maureen and her family during her stay.
