Oakville, CT. Mr. Michael R. Amos, age 28, of Park Ave Oakville, died Wednesday from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Waterbury. He was the son of Richard and Sharon (Gaynor) Amos.
Michael was born in Waltham MA on October 31, 1979. He lived in Oakville for most of his life and was a graduate of Watertown High School, Class of 1998. He was an avid athlete and especially enjoyed golf, tennis, baseball and softball. He was a racing enthusiast and a fan of the Boston Red Sox, New England Patriots, Boston Bruins, Boston Celtics and the UCONN Huskies. He had been employed as a sales associate at P.C. Mobil in Southbury for the past six years. He was a parishioner of St. Mary Magdalen Church in Oakville.
Beside his parents, Michael is survived by his sister, Kristy A. Amos, his paternal grandparents, Charles W. and Joyce M. (Coughlin) Amos of Arlington MA as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services for Michael will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2008 with a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at St. Mary Magdalen Church, Buckingham St. Oakville at 11:00am. Those wishing to attend are asked to go directly to the church for 10:45am. Burial will follow. Calling hours for Michael will be held on Friday evening from 5-8pm at the O'Neill Funeral Home 742 Main St. Oakville.
