Loving Son, Brother, Grandson, Nephew and Friend
ROCKY HILL - Michael "Bear Cub" Dufour age 21, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2021 after a courageous lifelong battle with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
Michael was born on July 22nd 1999 in Waterbury CT, the son of John Dufour and Rose (Montana) Paturzo. Michael loved school and was a recent graduate of Oak Hill School in Bristol. Michael enjoyed watching TV, movies, baseball and taking walks. He especially enjoyed his trips to the New Haven firehouses where he enjoyed spending time with the firefighters and admiring the fire trucks. Michael always had a constant smile and that special smile was always able to cheer and charm anyone at any time. He will be remembered as a loving son, brother, grandson nephew and friend. Michael will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know and love him.
Left to cherish Michael's love and honor his special legacy besides his parents are his maternal grandparents, Linda and Richie Nelson, his paternal grandmother, Donna Dufour, his stepmother, Tammy Dufour, his siblings; Guilianna, Teresa, Luigi, Colton, Johnny, Jorden, Rick Anthony, Gabrielle, Briannah, Lindsey, nieces; Alanni and McKenzie as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. Michael was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Paul Dufour.
A Memorial Service for Michael will be held on Saturday, June 26th 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Faith Living Church, 20 Grove St, Plantsville, CT 06479. There are no calling hours. To honor Mike's memory and in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Parent Project MD 401 Hackensack Avenue, Suite 904 Hackensack, NJ 07601.
