WATERBURY – Michael I Grosso, age 90, of Waterbury, formerly of Oakville, passed away peacefully on April 26, 2023 at the Vitas Innovative Care Unit of St. Mary’s Hospital surrounded by the love and comfort of his family. He was the widower of Elizabeth (Longo) Grosso to whom he was married for 51 wonderful years.

Michael was born on April 28, 1932, in Waterbury, CT, the son of the late Michael and Viola (Flemming) Grosso. He attended local schools, and then proudly served our country in the United States Army during the Korean War. Following his service, Michael went to work at Loehman Blasius as a parts manager for over 50 years. He enjoyed traveling and watching WWE wrestling. Grosso, his devoted grandchildren; Jaime Boisclair, Christopher Boisclair, and Alexia Grosso and his two great grandchildren Cameron Lupachino, and Taylor Lupachino as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Besides being predeceased by his wife, Michael was predeceased by his daughter, Pamela Jean Grosso and his sisters; Ruth Diorio, and Angelina “Till” Brinkman. The Grosso family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the staff of Autumn Lakes Health and Rehab who cared for their Dad over the last 6 years. He enjoyed a special relationship with the many nurses whom he lovingly called “Puchos”.
