WATERBURY - Michael J. Litin age 56 of Waterbury, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 15, 2021 at St. Marys Hospital.
Michael was born on September 6, 1964 in Torrington CT, the son of the late Arthur and Judith (Geffner) Litin. He was educated in local schools, graduated from Torrington High School and Central CT State College. At the time of his passing, he was employed in Sales with Hartford Provision Co of South Windsor and not only loved his profession but very much enjoyed working with his "work" family. His tireless commitment to his job was matched only by his dedication to his family. Michael was an avid Boston Red Sox and NY Giants fan and enjoyed nothing more than spending summer days at the pool surrounded by his entire family. Family was essential to Michael and to us as his family, he was one of a kind and very special. He made the world a better place for all of us, and we are blessed and thankful to have had him in our lives.
Michael is survived by his former wife, Cynthia DiChiara DiLeo of Waterbury, his stepsons; Michael DiLeo of Plymouth and Daniel DiLeo of Georgia, his 3 step grandchildren; Liam, Luca and Leo, his brother, Peter Litin and his wife, Leah of Granby and his two nephews, Daniel and Noah as well as several cousins. He will also be missed by his four legged, constant companion, Emmy.
Funeral services for Mr. Litin will be planned for later in the spring and will be announced publicly.
