THE CASEY FAMILY IS HONORED TO BE CARING FOR AND ASSISTING THE FAMILY OF MICHAEL ANGELO MELENDEZ SR.
Michael Angelo Melendez Sr. passed away at 1:30 am on May 28th, 2021 at Waterbury Hospital after suffering a massive heart attack.
He is survived by his wife Eneida Melendez and their two children, Michael Jr. and J.D. Melendez, he was also a father to 3 nephews after their own father passed away. He is mourned by nephews Wesley, Teddy, and Ronald Melendez, as well as his siblings Steven and James Melendez, his sister Adrienne Lopez, and grandchildren: Christian and Jadiel, including; Isabella, Natalia, Jazlyn, Jalissa, Angel, and Niko, whom he loved as his grandchildren, and many first and second-generation nieces and nephews.
The upmost accolade that can be said about Michael is his never-ending devotion to serving Jesus since 1987. He never wavered in his commitment, serving the Lord in different capacities, preaching in prisons he was a source of inspiration to all those who knew his story. Michael served as a chaplain in hospitals, always proclaiming the Glory of God in all of his business endeavors. He also preached over weekly meetings at his most recent venue which was held on Thomaston Avenue.
Michael's generous spirit had been expressed as dressing up as Santa and donating toys to the kids in Waterbury for several years.
He will be missed and never forgotten.
"I am the resurrection and the life, anyone who believes in me will live even after dying. Everyone who lives in me and believes in me will never die" John 11:25-26
