WATERBURY - Mr. Michael Joseph "Monty" Montavon, age 23 of Waterbury, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 14, 2016.
Monty was born October 14, 1992 in Waterbury, CT, the son of Ferdinando "Fred" Montavon of Waterbury and Holly Dean of Buffalo, NY. He was the maternal grandson of Nancy Preble and the late James Dean and paternal grandson of Stephanie (Violante) Montavon and the late Salvatore Gino Montavon. He attended Wolcott High School and worked as a prep-cook at LaFortuna Restaurant in Wolcott. Michael always enjoyed singing, acting, making people laugh and watching movies. He truly loved pepperoni pizza and was always happiest while spending time outdoors sitting by a bonfire with his friends and family.
Besides his parents and grandparents, Michael is survived by his loving stepmother, Claudette, his brother, Branden Montavon, of Waterbury, his sisters. Sade and Tori Dean both of NY in addition to several aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members and many friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Montavon will be held on Thursday, August 18, 2016 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 785 Highland Ave Waterbury to celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. followed by prayers of committal at a cemetery to be announced. Those planning to attend are kindly asked to meet directly at the church. There are no calling hours.
