WATERBURY - With gratitude to God for a life well spent we announce the passing away of our beloved son, nephew, cousin, and friend Michael Agbon-Omagbon who passed away at the age of 22. Michael died unexpectedly after a tragic accident on the Farmington River on Wednesday July 22, 2015.
Michael was born January 8th 1993 in Brooklyn NY, the son of Edna Oriakhi-Crocker and Henry Omagbon. He was raised in the NY and Waterbury area. He attended Chase Elementary School, NorthEnd Middle school and was a graduate of Wilby High School where he played soccer and basketball. He was currently studying for his nursing degree at Southern Connecticut State University. Michael's passion was basketball, playing varsity at Wilby High School and the YMCA. After graduation, he attended Albertus Magnus College and played for their soccer team and won the NCAA championship in Connecticut. Michael was and is still loved by all and was always willing to help a friend or family member, and had a wonderful outgoing nature that will be remembered by all who knew him. It was a privilege to have had him as a son.
Among his survivors are his mother, Edna Oriakhi-Crocker and her husband Robert of Waterbury, his father, Henry Omagbon of Canada, his siblings, Jason, Jasminedna, and Jalyn Oriakhi-Crocker all of Waterbury as well as many Aunts, Uncles, cousins and extended family members as well as many friends. I'm sure Mike is here with us now and would want us all to know he loves us and to be Happy and not to mourn him but to celebrate HIM!!! Its roses roses all the way.
Services for Mr. Omagbon will be held Sunday, July 26, 2015 at 3:00pm at Eastside Memorial, "A Casey Family Funeral Home & Tribute Center" 1987 East Main St Waterbury, CT 06705. Burial services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Family and Friends may visit with Michael's family at the funeral home on Sunday from 1:00 ~ 5:00pm to celebrate his life.
