WATERBURY CT - Michael Scott, age 38, of Waterbury, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, after a courageous battle with Alpha 1 antitrypsin disease, on Tuesday May 10, 2011 at St. Mary's Hospital.
Michael was born in Waterbury on July 8, 1972, the son of Martin A. Scott and the late Marjorie (Hickox) Scott. He was a graduate of the Waterbury School System and was painter until he could no longer work due to his illness. Mike enjoyed cooking and Sunday football especially his favorite team the Buffalo Bills.
Besides his father, Michael leaves his 10 year old daughter, Elyssa Scott whom he loved deeply and was raising into a fine young lady, his sister, Bernice LeMay of Wolcott, two brothers, Martin T. Scott of Boston and Thomas Scott of Waterbury and a nephew.
Graveside services for Mr. Scott will be held on Tuesday May 17th at 10:30 a.m. at Calvary Cemetery. Those planning on attending are asked to me directly at the cemetery. There are no calling hours in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Elyssa Scott memorial Fund C/O Webster Bank 1776 Meriden Rd. Wolcott CT 06716 .
