Waterbury CT. Mrs. Mildred "Midge" (Riccio) McKenna, died Tuesday afternoon at Meridian Manor in Waterbury after an extended illness. She was the widow of John J. McKenna who passed away in September of 2005..

Mildred was born in Meriden CT on July 24, 1920, the daughter of the late Joseph and Jennie (Scinto) Riccio. She was educated the Meriden School system and was employed for many years as an Executive Secretary for the State of Connecticut, Dept of Social Services. She and her husband lived in Southington for 45 years where they were active parishioners of Mary our Queen Church.

Mildred is survived by a sister, Lillian Jabs of Farmington, two sisters-in-law Frances Kearney and her husband George of Waterbury and Eileen Kieffer and her husband Paul of Prospect CT. She also leaves several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by four sisters and three brothers; Emma Herget, Lena Trigilio, Edith Pascucillo and Elvira Chapman, John Riccio, Leonard Riccio and Walter Riccio

Funeral services for Mrs. McKenna will be held on Friday, May 30, 2008 at 9:30am from the Casey- O'Donnell Family Funeral Home, 1581 East Main St, Waterbury, CT. to the Church of the Immaculate Conception, 74 West Main St. Waterbury, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Family and friends may visit the funeral home on Friday morning from 8:30 ?" 9:30 am. Memorial donations in Mrs. McKenna's memory may be made to the St. Mary's Hospital Foundation, 56 Franklin St Waterbury CT 06706.
