WATERBURY - Mrs. Mildred M. "Milly" (O'Connor) Sayball, age 99 of Waterbury, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at Apple Rehab Center in Watertown, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family after a brief illness. She was the widow of the William H. Sayball Sr.
Mildred was born March 31, 1917 in Bridgeport, CT, the daughter of the late John A. and Agnes M. (Doyle) O'Connor. She had worked at the University of Bridgeport for a number of years, but spent most of her life as a homemaker. She had a smile for all those who came into her life and always managed to send a card for all occasions to her family and friends. Her calendar was always full of memories.
She will be sadly missed by her two sons, William H. Sayball, Jr. and his wife, Brenda of Florida, James Sayball and his wife, Michele of South Carolina, her two daughters, Mrs. Agnes M. Salter of Fairfield, and Mrs. Marilyn J. Kennedy and her husband, Robert of Waterbury in addition to her 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 2 great, great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her son, Robert W. Sayball as well as her siblings; Raymond, Joseph, and Francis O'Connor and Leroy Germain and her sister, Ruth M. Frasier.
Funeral services for Mrs. Sayball will be held Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at 7:00pm at Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home, 1987 East Main St @ Southmayd Rd Waterbury. Friends may visit with Mildred's family from 6pm until the service at 7:00pm. Interment will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
