Devoted to his family

OAKVILLE – Milton Hungerford, age 66, of Oakville passed away on Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at Yale New Haven Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was the devoted husband of Rhea (Jampole) Hungerford for many years.

Milton was born on May 03, 1958, in Waterbury CT, the son of late Celester and Josephine (Borkowski) Hungerford Sr. He attended local schools and went on to graduate in 1976 from Kaynor Technical High School. After graduating high school Milton served our country in the United States Navy. Milton ran a very successful computer business where he would build and repair computers. He found solace in the tranquility of nature, cherishing moments spent fishing, traversing the open road on his cherished Harley Davidson with his wife attending numerous bike rallies together. Milton was also a very avid pool player, and spending time with his grandchildren playing video games. Animals held a special place in Milton's heart, with his two parrots and cat providing companionship and comfort in his home. Their presence was a constant source of peace and joy in his everyday life. Milton will be deeply missed by all those who were blessed to love and know him.

Left to honor his legacy and cherish his memory besides his wife Rhea, are his children; Stephanie, Michael, Theresa, Gregory, and Jason, his grandchildren; Rachael, Sarah, Emily, Jennifer, Xander, Jacob, and Briella. He leaves his siblings Lorraine Cosgrove, Gloria Larson, Joanne Marherfki, Charlotte Stack, and Celester “Lenny” Hungerford Jr., along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends. Milton was predeceased by his sister, Suzanne Girardin, and brother, Wallace Hungerford.

All services for Mr. Hungerford will be held privately at the convenience of his family.
