Mrs.Minerva Dones

WATERBURY – Minerva (Rojas) Dones, age 62, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 23, 2024, at Hartford Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Angel Dones Sr.  

Minerva was born on September 3, 1961 in Manhattan, New York, daughter of Juan Torres and Juanita Rojas. She graduated from local schools and went on to work at Bank of America for the past 15 years. Minerva truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures. She was passionate about salsa music, dancing, hosting family gatherings, and taking family vacations. What Minerva truly loved the most however, was spending time with her family and friends. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who touched many lives and will never be forgotten.    

Left to cherish her memory and honor her legacy besides her parents and husband of 45 years, Angel Sr. are her children; Angel Dones Jr., and Jennifer Dones and her partner Emmanuel Paneto. She also leaves her grandchildren; Angel III, Angelina, Isabela, Xavier, Jenniah and Davin, her siblings; Maritza, Ivelise, Maria, Juan Jr, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and colleagues. Minerva was predeceased by her sister Nancy. 

Relatives and friends may visit with the Dones family on Friday, June 28, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Casey’s Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Care, 1987 East Main Street, Waterbury, CT. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of her family.
