WATERBURY CT - Miriam Soto, age 54 of Waterbury passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday July 8, 2015. She was the widow of Walter Velez.
Miriam was born in Camden NJ on August 14, 1960 the daughter of Edelmiro Soto and Elisa Alicea of Puerto Rico. Miriam was employed for various local companies as a machine operator. Miriam was a God fearing woman who took great pride in raising her family. She loved fashion and was a sophisticated woman who loved to shop for clothes and shoes. Most of all she was so proud to be a mother to her four adoring children and raised them to be the best they could be. She will be sadly missed but will live on in her children's heart forevermore.
Miriam leaves her children; Walter Velez of Waterbury, Annette Delgado of Torrington, Xylina Soto of New Britain and Lisa Soto of Bristol. She also leaves several brothers and sister; Ana Delia Soto, Luz M. Ocasio, Edelmiro Soto Jr, Minerva Soto, Angel Soto, Nelson Soto and Ediberto Tosado as well as many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Soto will be held on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at 6:30 p.m. at EASTSIDE MEMORIAL "A Casey Family Funeral Home and Tribute Center," 1987 East Main St., Waterbury. Relatives and friends may visit with Miriam's family on Wednesday evening from 5:00 till 6:30 p.m. Burial will be held on Thursday, July 16, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at All Saints Cemetery, Waterbury.
