Mirna was born November 12, 1959 in the Bronx, NY a daughter of the late Ismael Carreras and Petra Figueroa and had lived in Waterbury for the past 7 years.
Mirna leaves a daughter, Isha Cruz and a son Louis Ortiz both of Waterbury, her boyfriend of the past 14 years, Gerald Lewis of Waterbury, 2 brothers Pedro Carreras of Waterbury and Ismael Carreras of NY, 4 sisters Virginia Cosme of Puerto Rico, Ramona Carreras, Minirva Carreras and Rosael Carreras all of NY and 3 grandchildren. Her sisters, Aida and Yolanda Carreras, predeceased her.
A Funeral Service will be held Saturday March 10th at 6:30 p.m. at the Casey-O'Donnell Family Funeral Home, 1591 East Main Street. Burial will be private.
