WATERBURY - Nancy (Smith) Galvin Dippelhofer Bouchard, age 77 of Waterbury, passed away peacefully on Wednesday March 7, 2018 at Vitas Innovative Care Unit of Saint Mary's Hospital after an extended illness. She was the widow of Lawrence Galvin, Karl Heinz Dippelhofer, and Joseph Bouchard.
Nancy was born August 20, 1940 Waterbury, CT the eldest of seven children to the late Edward and Ernestine (Blondeau) Smith. She was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School and was a loving and dedicated mother who cherished the time spent with her family especially during the holidays and at family picnic's. Nancy also loved to go shopping and spend time with her numerous grandchildren.
Among her survivors are her sons; Heinz and Karl Dippelhoffer, and Jason Bouchard all of Waterbury, her daughters; Nancy Galvin of Waterbury, Karla Carey of Plymouth, Lori Lubak of Bethlehem, Heidi Dippelhofer of Waterbury and Barbara Hurley of NC. In addition, she leaves her brothers; Edward Smith of Waterbury, Thomas Smith of Bristol, her sisters; Patricia Neuman, Susan Smith, and Elaine Richardson, all of Waterbury as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other extended family members and friends. She was predeceased by her son Reiner Dippelhofer and her sister, Ernestine Smith.
A Memorial Gathering for Mrs. Bouchard will be held on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home 1987 East main St @Southmayd Rd Waterbury, Ct 06705. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family in Pine Grove Cemetery, Waterbury.
