WATERTOWN - Nancy Buonomo age 79, of Watertown, passed away peacefully on Wednesday March 27th 2019 at the Vitas Innovative Care Unit at Saint Mary's Hospital after an extended illness. She was the widow of Peter C. Buonomo.
Nancy was born January 4, 1940 in Waterbury, Ct the daughter of the late Wallace and Mildred (Lackey) Palmer Sr. She grew up in Oakville and was a graduate of Watertown High School. Nancy spent many years working as a cafeteria worker for the Watertown School System until her retirement until 2002. She enjoyed playing with her cat Daisy, baking pies, reading, and playing cards especially with her sisters and family. What brought the greatest joy to Nancy was spending time with her adoring grandchildren and family.
Among her survivors are her children Peter Buonomo Jr; and his wife, Carla of Bristol, her daughters Marcia Cloutier and her husband, Jerry of NH. Brenda Smith of Oakville, and Nancy Mancini and her husband, Mark of Watertown. She also leaves her siblings Wilfred and James Palmer of Oakville, Everett Palmer of FL, Eva Treppicone of Long Island, NY, and Jane Jenkins of Bristol. In addition she leaves her 9 adoring grandchildren and nine great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings Wallace Palmer Jr, Larry Palmer and Janice Parenteau.
Funeral services for Mrs. Buonomo will be held on Sunday March 31st 2019 at 2:30pm at the O'Neill funeral home 742 main st Oakville, Ct 06779. Burial will be held privately and at the convenience of the family. Relatives and friends may visit with Nancy's family at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon from 12:00 noon until the time of the services at 2:30pm .
