Nancy was born in Derby on July 20, 1930, the daughter of the late Francis and Gladys (Gade) Noonan. She was a graduate of Waterbury Catholic High School and worked for a brief time at John Hancock Insurance in Waterbury. Nancy enjoyed winters in Florida and summers in Westbrook CT. Nancy enjoyed being a Mom and Grandma. She was a parishioner of St. Leo the Great Church in Waterbury.
Nancy leaves three children, her son, David of Boca Raton FL and two daughters, Cynthia Hummel and her husband, Daniel Shuster of Minneapolis MN and Paula Meo and her husband, Bill of South Windsor CT., four grandchildren, Thomas Shuster and David, Nicole and Julia Meo. She also leaves her sister and best friend, Patricia "Petie" D'Angelo of Southington as well as many close friends whom she kept in constant touch with and several nieces and nephews. Nancy was predeceased by a brother, Luke Noonan. Nancy's family would like to acknowledge the exceptional staff at Miller Memorial Community Inc, Unit CH2 for the kind, compassionate care they provided to Nancy and to her entire family, these past weeks.
Funeral services for Mrs. Hummel will be held on Thursday, February 12, 2009 at 10:00am from the Casey-O'Donnell Family Funeral Home 1581 East Main St Waterbury to St. Leo the Great Church, Bentwood Dr. Waterbury for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery, Southington CT. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Thursday morning from 9:00 ?" 10:00am.
