MERIDEN - Nicholas V. Ciriello, age 30, of Meriden, formerly of Waterbury, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at Mid-State Medical Center.
Nicholas was born August 14, 1986 in New Haven, CT, the son of Vincent Ciriello and Linda (Dowin) McAward. Nick was always a generous soul, a guardian for all those in his life. He would eagerly give the shirt off his back to anyone in need, without regard for his own needs. Nick was a master and lover of all sports and was always anxious to share his knowledge and talents with the local kids. He was on the path to realizing his ultimate dream of becoming a pediatric nurse when God called him home.
Besides his parents, Nick is survived by his sister, Danielle Ciriello of Windsor, his step- father, Doug McAward of Meriden, step-brothers, Mick & Jesse McAward, his step- mother, Dorothy Simnett. He also leaves his maternal grandfather, Richard Dowin of Milford, his paternal grandmother, Blanche McCarthy Sewell of Torrington and his paternal grandfather, James M. Ciriello of CA in addition to several other family members and friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Ciriello will be held on Monday, May 15, 2017 at 9:30 AM at the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception 74 West Main St Waterbury, CT. Those planning to attend are kindly asked to meet directly at the church. There are no calling hours and burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
