AT THE O'NEILL FUNERAL HOME - Nicolas E. Khouri age 72 of Bunker Hill Avenue, Waterbury died Saturday at Waterbury Hospital. He was the husband of Theresa (Khazzaka) Khouri.
Nicolas was born November 18, 1936 in Chwiet, Lebanon a son of the late Elias and Eva Khouri, attended Sacred Heart College in Lebanon and was the owner of a successful liquor factory until was broke out and he sacrificed his business and life in Lebanon and moved with his growing family to the United States. After coming to the United States, Nicolas worked as a self-employed produce salesman. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Loreto Church.
Besides his wife of 35 years of Waterbury, he leaves three sons, Ziad Khouri of Watertown, Paul Khouri of Waterbury, Mark Khouri of Waterbury, three grandchildren, Lillian, Benjamin and Joseph Khouri all of Watertown, two brothers Nassif and Melhem Khouri both of Lebanon, three sisters Hait Bachoura, Lorice Azar both of Lebanon and Nawal Haddad of Danbury.
Funeral Thursday at 9 a.m. from the O'Neill Funeral Home, 742 Main Street Oakville to Our Lady of Loreto Church for Mass at 10. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Watertown.
