WATERBURY- Nicole "Nikki" Corrine (Palchick) Buck, 49, passed away on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at the Vitas Innovative Care Unit of St. Mary's Hospital.

Nicole was born in Waterbury on August 19, 1971 and was the daughter of the late Nicholas John Palchick Jr and the late Mary Theresa Coviello. Nikki graduated from Crosby High School and enjoyed her long career with the City of Waterbury Health Department. She was very artistic and loved music. She had a deep love for animals especially her dog, Mischa. Most of us will remember that she had an infectious smile and laugh. She always saw the good in people. Most of all, she treasured her family and dear friends. She insisted on capturing memories and by taking photos at everything from soccer games to celebrations. She took pride in being an aunt and loved all of her nieces and nephews. She had a very special relationship with her granddaughter Lilliana who adored her "Mema".

She leaves to cherish her memory and carry on her legacy, her daughter, Destiny Yarosis and granddaughter, Lilliana Yarosis with whom she resided. Also, her brother, Shane and his wife, Elizabeth Palchick of Prospect, her sister, Phyllis R. Palchick and her husband, Dwayne Golden of Raeford, NC and her nephews Nicholas, Giovanni, Lucas, Dominic and nieces Solara and Viviana. In addition, she leaves her aunts, Karen (Juan) Serret, Phyllis Coviello, Judy (Mark) Swircenski and her uncle, Joseph (Karen) Coviello and several cousins and extended family. In addition to her parents, Nicole was predeceased by her grandparents, Joseph and Rose Coviello, and Nicholas and Lillian Palchick.
Nicole's family would like to thank St. Mary's Hospital and the staff of VITAS for the care and love they shared with Nicole and her family during these last difficult weeks.

Funeral services for Nicole will be held on Sunday, March 21, 2021 when you may visit with her family from 2:00 till 4:00 p.m. at Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1987 East Main St.@ Southmayd Rd. Waterbury. We are all very concerned about everyone's health and safety so all federal and state guidelines relative to COVID #19 will be observed but you can be assured of a safe, clean and comforting environment to express your support to Nikki's family. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
