WATERTOWN - Nilda Pedroncelli, age 78 of Watertown CT, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 15, 2019 at the Vitas Innovative Care Unit of St. Marys Hospital.
Nilda was born on May 8, 1941 in Waterbury, the daughter of the late Lorenzo and Mary (Kuvaius) Pedroncelli. She was educated in local schools and was the owner and proprietor of Jericho Carpeting for many years. Nilda loved flowers and gardening and enjoyed music especially polka. It was at a summer polka concert where she met her fiancé and the love of her life, Bill whom she was with for over 20 years before her passing. Nilda was the kind of person who always put others ahead of herself and she was a very caring and loving person. It can surely be said that Nilda exemplified a "life well lived".
Left to remember, cherish and honor Nilda's love and legacy, is her fiancé of 20 years, William Munson of Watertown, her sister, Isabelle Mailhot, her two nephews, Philip and Mark Mailhot of Watertown her two nieces, Robin Lamy of Watertown and Tracy Mailhot of Torrington.
Funeral services for Ms. Pedroncelli will be held on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 when a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St John the Evangelist Church, 574 Main St Watertown at 10:00 a.m. Those planning to attend are kindly asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will follow in Mt Olivet Cemetery, Watertown. Relatives and friends may visit with Nilda's family on Monday afternoon from 4:00 till 6:00 p.m. at O'Neill Funeral Home 742 Main St Oakville CT.
