WATEBURY Norman H. Lezotte, age 86, formerly of 2221 East Main St. Waterbury passed away unexpectedly on Monday December 23, 2013 at St. Mary's Hospital. He was the widower of Patricia (Feeley) Lezotte.
Norman was born August 18, 1927 in Waterbury the son of the late Joseph and Irene Barnes Lezotte. He was a lifelong resident of Waterbury and graduated from Washington Grammar School and Wilby High School. Norman was a veteran of the US Navy having proudly served his country during World War II. Norman was a retired Quality Control Inspector at Timex and following his retirement he worked for more than 10 years at the City of Waterbury as the Commissioner on Aging where he was a strong advocate for the City's Seniors. He and his wife Pat were avid travelers and especially enjoyed visiting Ireland. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Lourdes Church.
Norman is survived by his daughter, Susan Blum and her husband, Robert of Southington and his granddaughter, Lindsay Rouff and her husband Andrew of New York City. He was predeceased by his twin brother, Joseph Lezotte. Norman's family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to the staff at Meridian Manor who cared for Norman during his extended illness.
Funeral services with full military honors for Mr. Lezotte will be held on Friday, December 27, 2013 at 10:30 am from the Eastside Memorial," A CASEY FAMILY FUNERAL HOME AND TRIBUTE CENTER", 1987 East Main St @ Southmayd Rd. to Our Lady of Lourdes Church 309 South Main St. Waterbury to celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with Norman's family on Friday morning from 9:30am to 10:30am at the funeral home. Memorial donations in Norman's memory may be made to the Animal Rescue Foundation of CT, 366 Main St. Terryville CT 06786
