Devoted husband, father and grandfather
OAKVILLE– Normand Joseph Bouchard Sr., age 79 of Oakville, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on November 10,2023 surrounded by the love and comfort of his family at Waterbury Hospital. He was the widower of Anita (Mercier) Bouchard.
Normand was born on July 18, 1944, in Frenchville, Maine, the son of the late Hubald and Annie (Rossignol) Bouchard. He moved to CT as a young man, soon thereafter starting a family. Normand retired from Ansonia Copper and Brass after several years being a devoted hard worker. He had a true passion for music. Normand was a talented vocalist and guitarist. Normand excelled being a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, who had the kindest heart. He will be truly missed by all those who are blessed to know and love him.
Left to honor his legacy and cherish his memory are his children; Lisa Marie Radcliffe and her husband Wendell, Normand Joseph Bouchard Jr. and his wife Jennie, Ronald David Bouchard, and his wife Maria, his grandchildren Sara, Jason, Justin, Cassandra, Felica, Craig, and Joseph, along with four great grandchildren; Kylie, Bentley, Shawn and Landon. His siblings Rose (Bouchard) Cox, Gerard Bouchard, and Lucien Bouchard. He also leaves several nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends. He was predeceased by his son, Steven Mark Bouchard.
Funeral Services for Mr. Bouchard will be held on Tuesday November 21, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. with a graveside committal service at Calvary Cemetery, East Main St Waterbury. Those planning to attend are asked to assemble at the main gate by 10:45a.m. Relatives and friends may visit with the Bouchard family on Monday evening, November 20, 2023, from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the Casey-O’Neill Funeral Home 742 Main St Oakville CT 06779.
