THE CASEY FAMILY IS HONORED TO BE ASSISTING THE FAMILY OF NUNO A. RAMOS.
WATERBURY - Nuno Alvaro Ramos age 55 of Waterbury, passed away unexpectedly at Saint Mary's Hospital surrounded by the love and comfort of his family after a brief illness on August 2, 2021.
Nuno was born November 6th 1965 in São Nicolau, Cape Verde the son of Manuel and Idalina (Andrade) Ramos. Nuno moved to Sal, Cape Verde at the age of 5 and emigrated to the US in 1989. He spent several years working as a machine operator at Brunswick Gulf until the company's closing. Nuno enjoyed life to fullest playing soccer, "Bisca", playing "reco reco" and telling stories with his friends, brothers and nephews.
Left to honor his legacy and cherish his memory, are his children; daughter, Ieda Ramos and her husband, Estefano of Italy, son, Kevin Ramos of Sal, Cape Verde as well as his four grandchildren and his siblings, Geneva Ramos and husband, Nino, Jacinta Ramos, Rufina Ramos, Isabel Ramos, Inacia Ramos, Antônio Ramos and his wife, Nani all of Italy. Funeral services for Mr. Ramos will be held on Friday August 6th 2021 at 9:15 a.m. from Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Services 1987 East Main St Waterbury to Our Lady of Fatima Church, 2071 Baldwin St, Waterbury, CT 06706 Waterbury to celebrate a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with Nuno's family on Thursday evening from 6:00 till 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. We are very concerned about everyone's health and safety, due to the increase rise in the Delta variant of Covid 19 in the Waterbury area, and are requesting all visitors wear a mask to assure a safe, orderly and comfortable environment to express your support to the Ramos family.
