Waterbury - Cincinnatti "P.J." Blizzard Jr. Age 68 of Waterbury passed away on Thursday December 11, 2014 at his home surrounded by the love and comfort of his family after a brief illness.
P.J. was born January 27, 1946 the son of the late Cincinnatti and Margaret (White) Blizzard in Tarboro N.C. where he was educated in local schools. He proudly served his country with the US Marine Corps during the Vietnam War and worked as a CNA at Southbury Training School and more recently at E.S.P. as a machine operator prior to his retirement. He enjoyed fishing, reading, and doing crossword puzzles, but he always seemed happiest while spending time surrounded by his family, especially his grandchildren.
Among his survivors are his wife Essie Blizzard of Waterbury his sons Demetris Blizzard and wife Michelle of Chesterfield Va, Jameen Blizzard, Josef Blizzard and Taji Blizzard of Waterbury Ct; His daughters Monigue Williams of Chesapeake Va, Willa Smith and Dasheen Blizzard of Waterbury Ct; His brothers William Blizzard, Curtis Blizzard Sr., Michael Blizzard, the late Terry Martin Blizzard and Corey Blizzard his sisters Mattie Blizzard, Vanessa Blizzard, and Annette Blizzard as well as 18grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
Funeral Services for Mr. Blizzard will be held on Friday December 19th 2014 at 11:00am at Eastside Memorial "A Casey Family Funeral Home & Tribute Center" 1987 East Main St @ Southmayd Rd. Waterbury followed by burial in New Pine Grove Cemetery Waterbury. Friends and Relatives may visit with P.J.'s family on Friday morning from 9:00am until the time of the service.
