Pasquale R. Colella

WATERBURY - Mr. Pasquale R. Colella of Waterbury, passed away peacefully surrounded by the comfort and love of his family at Saint Mary's Hospital on Saturday June 21st 2014 after a brief illness. He was the widower of Ethel Colella to whom he was married for 50 years prior to her passing in 1991.

Pasquale was a lifelong Waterbury resident and spent many years working at Scovill Manufacturing where he also served as the divisional steward for the union. Pasquale had enjoyed dabbling in local politics and was considered an unofficial historian for the City of Waterbury due to his vast knowledge of information regarding city history.

Among his survivors are his sons, Mike Colella and his wife Donna of Naugatuck, Deacon Charles Colella and his wife Marion of Waterbury, Vincent and his wife Mary of Berlin, his daughters, Rita Latino, and Doris Pluff both of Waterbury as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great, great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mr. Colella will be held on Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at 12:30pm from Eastside Memorial, "A Casey Family Funeral Home and Tribute Center", 1987 East Main St @ Southmayd Rd to Saint Leo the Great Church 14 Bentwood Ave, Waterbury, CT when a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow in New Calvary Cemetery, Waterbury. Relatives and friends may visit with Pasquale's family on Tuesday morning at the funeral home from 11:00am - 12:30 pm.
