THE CASEY FAMILY IS HONORED TO BE ASSISTING THE FAMILY OF PATRICIA DEERING.

LITCHFIELD - Patricia Diane (O'Neill) Deering, age 89, of Milton, CT passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home surrounded by her family on Friday, January 14, 2022. She was the wife of the late Paul Deering Jr. to whom she was married to for 52 years.

Patricia was born in New York, New York on February 18, 1932, daughter of the late John Arthur and Lillian (Rydehn) O'Neill. She moved to Milton, CT when she was 15 years old and has lived there ever since. Patricia loved to read, she would read at least a book a day. She also loved horse races and to cook gourmet food. She was a woman with a lot of patience, someone who loved her family and enjoyed every minute she could spend with them.

Left to honor her legacy and cherish her memory are her two daughters; Anne Merideth Deering of Litchfield and Elizabeth "Bissy" Fischer of Litchfield, three sons: Arthur Paul Deering of Randolph Center, Vermont, Thomas Jonathan Deering of Litchfield, and William Stuart Deering and his wife Susan of Northfield. She leaves 10 grandchildren, step grandson and 10 great grandchildren, and sister-in-law, Sue O'Neill of Lineville, Alabama. Patricia would not want us to leave out her loyal most loyal companion, her dog, Tank. She was predeceased by her eldest son, Gregory Craig Deering and brother, John Rydehn O'Neill.

Funeral services for Mrs. Deering will be private and held at the convenience of her family. Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Services 1987 East Main St, Waterbury has been honored to care for the Deering family during this difficult time. Memories endure only if you share them, so you are encouraged to leave a condolence, words of comfort or personal memory with the Deering family on Patricia's tribute page at www.eastsidememorial.com .
