WATERBURY- Mrs. Patricia A. Giesen, age 93, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday May 11, 2021 surrounded by the love and comfort of her family after a brief illness. She was the widow of Joseph H. Giesen

Patricia was born in Waterbury, CT on March 17th 1928, the daughter of the late Robert and Nellie (Cavanaugh) Fox. She attended Wilby High School and was a loving and dedicated home maker who was always willing to help others in need. She loved to care for her family and friends and will be remembered for her compassionate and caring personality. Patricia was a long-time member of the Saint Leo the Great Church where she enjoyed playing BINGO.

Left to cherish her memory and honor her legacy are her five children; Robert Giesen of Oakville, Joseph Giesen of Birmingham, AL., Peter Giesen of Bristol, James Giesen of Waterbury and Margaret Tentoni of Prospect. Patricia was one of twelve children and the last survivor of her siblings. She and her husband, Joseph were blessed with 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.

The Giesen family would like to thank and acknowledge Patricia's long time caregiver Lou Davies, who was Patricia's guardian angel here on earth. Appreciation for Lou's love and care over the past four years of Patricia's life will always be cherished and not forgotten.

Funeral services for Mrs. Giesen will be held on Monday, May 17th at 11:30 a.m. when a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Mary Mother of the Church Parish, St Leo the Great Church. Burial will follow in Old St Joseph's Cemetery, Waterbury. Relatives and friends, may visit with Patricia's family on Monday morning from 10:00 till 11:00am at Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1987 East Main St @ Southmayd Rd. Waterbury CT 06705. Despite reductions of COVID #19 precautions, we are all still very concerned about everyone's health and safety so masks and social distancing will be required so that you can be assured of a safe, orderly and comforting environment to express your support to the Giesen family.
