WATERBURY - Patricia A. Smegielski age 70 of Waterbury, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by the love and comfort of her family on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 after a year long battle against cancer. She was the wife of Michael Smegielski Jr.
Patricia was born December 2, 1946 in Waterbury, CT, the daughter of the late Nicholas and Anna (DePonti) Rossi. She was a graduate of Crosby High School and worked for several area manufacturing companies. Patricia was a talented artist who enjoyed creating arts and crafts, playing bingo and shopping. One of her favorite things to do was to explore the United States preferably by motorcycle while traveling across the country with her husband.
Besides her devoted husband, Michael of 42 years, Patricia is survived by her children; Nicholas J. Perillo, Michael Smegielski III, and Lisa Marie Smegielski all of Waterbury. In addition she leaves behind her adored and cherished grandchildren, Jasmine Batts, Matthew Perillo, Ariya and Dylan Adomavicia and one great granddaughter, A'mia Toom..
A Memorial Service for Mrs. Smegielski will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at 11:30 AM at Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home 1987 East Main St @ Southmayd Rd. Waterbury, CT 06705. Friends and family may visit with the Smegielski family at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at 11:30 AM.
