WATERTOWN - Paul Dennis Creech Sr., 82, passed away peacefully at his home on December 3, 2021.
Paul was born March 29, 1939, in Harlan, Kentucky the son of the late Alonzo and Ida (Engle) Creech. Paul was an armed forces veteran who proudly served his country in the United States Army for two years and the United States Navy from 1956 till 1962. He was also a dedicated member of the VFW in Oakville; CT. Paul was an auto mechanic his whole life in addition to driving busses and tractor trailers. He was the epidemy of the term "Jack of all trades". He retired from Midtown Auto parts at the age of 80. He loved working and would have kept going if he could. Paul coached little league baseball and soccer. He was a huge fan of the Kentucky Wildcats; he never missed a game whether it be on tv or listening over the radio. Paul loved his family with his whole heart and was a friend to everyone. He was very proud of his Kentucky roots and part of his heart was always there with his family. Paul was a born storyteller, he lived a life of sorrow, love, and adventure.
Left to honor his legacy and cherish his memory are his children; Paula Wergin (Robert) of Watertown, Paul Creech Jr. (Stephanie) of Thomaston and Judi Pattoneilli (Pat) of Waterbury, his stepchildren; Eileen Russo (Mike) of Naugatuck, Sandy Russo of Orlando, FL, and Jeffrey Russo of Watertown. Grandchildren; Stephanie, Tyler, Jamie, Jessica, Jodi, Joseph, Michael, Julia, Melinda, Brianna, Cailey, Madison, and PJ as well as Great Grandchildren Jacob, Jordyn and Jace. He also leaves his brothers, Glynn Creech, Jimmy Creech, Donald Creech, and Roger Creech all from London, Kentucky. Along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family. He also leaves behind his dog, Zeus. Paul was predeceased by siblings, Jewell Creech, Sue Gibbs, Joyce Gore, Lonnie Creech, and Betty Catron, his stepchildren, Gregory Russo and Sharon Lane, his grandsons Steven Creech and Thomas Ondusko, and his beloved dog, Harley.
Funeral Services for Mr. Creech will be held on December 10, 2021, at 7:00 p.m at The O'Neill Funeral Home, 742 Main Street Oakville, CT 06779. Relatives and friends may visit with the family from 5:00 p.m. till the time of the service at 7:00 p.m. Burial will be private at the convenience of his family.
