TERRYVILLE - Mr. Paul Charles Gelinas, age 53, of Terryville, passed away on Thursday, August 21, 2014 at Saint Mary's Hospital after a brief illness, surrounded by the love and comfort of his family. He was the husband of Kimberly (Clark) Gelinas
Paul was born March 9th 1961 in Waterbury, CT the son of the late Raphael C. Gelinas and Marie (Calderia) Gelinas of Waterbury. He grew up in Waterbury and was a graduate of Crosby High School and continued his studies at the Connecticut School of Electronics where he earned his associates degree in electronic engineering. Paul spent many years working at General Data-Com and Highlites as an electrical engineer. When Paul was not spending time with his beloved family he would enjoy spending time outdoors hunting, fishing, and riding his Harley. He was a member of the Waterbury Elks Lodge # 265.
Besides his mother, Marie and his wife of 15 years, Kimberly, Paul is survived by his children, Paul C. Gelinas II and Tammi Gelinas, his brother, Albert Gelinas of Waterbury as well as his niece. Lisa Balram and her husband Paul and their daughter Aurelia as well as many family and friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Gelinas will be held on Monday, August 25, 2014 at 9:30am when a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Francis Xavier Church 625 Baldwin St Waterbury. Those planning to attend are asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will follow in New Calvary Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with Paul's family on Sunday afternoon from 2:00-4:00 pm at Eastside Memorial, "A Casey Family Funeral Home & Tribute Center" 1987 East Main St Waterbury CT.
