A Life Well Lived
MIDDLETOWN - Paul Grochowski, age 61 of Middletown, passed away peacefully at the CT Hospice in Branford after an extended illness. He was the devoted husband of Ellen (Anderson) Grochowski.
Paul was born on May 15, 1960 in Rockville CT, the son of Terrence and the late Arlene (Czarzasty) Grochowski. He was educated in local schools and graduated from the University of CT with a degree in Accounting. At the time of his passing, he was an Associate Accountant within the Clean Water Fund for the State of CT. Paul and Ellen were devout members of St. Patrick Parish and Oratory, † Institute of Christ the King. As an active member of the church choir he enjoyed singing bass and studying chant and polyphony. He enjoyed playing the guitar and taking day trips and long drives with his wife and daughter. Paul was an avid bicycle enthusiast and enjoyed long, challenging rides. Paul will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know and love him.
Left to cherish his memory and honor his legacy, besides his loving wife, Ellen, and his father, are his daughter, Therese, his pride and joy, his brothers, Mark and Kurt, and his sister, Ann Bloniarz.
Funeral services for Mr. Grochowski will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at 12:30 p.m., when a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Patrick Parish and Oratory, 50 Charles St., Waterbury. Burial will follow in St Sebastian Cemetery in Middletown. There are no calling hours.
