POMPANO BEACH FL- Paul C. Kieffer age 77, of Prospect CT and Pompono Beach FL, passed away unexpectedly at the Catholic Hospice in Fort Lauderdale FL on Thursday, February 27, 20120. He was the loving husband of Eileen (McKenna) Kieffer.

Paul was born on October 29, 1942 in St Louis MO the son of the late Clement and Clara (Priep) Kieffer. He was a graduate of Lutheran Central High School in St Louis, St Louis University and he received his Masters Degree in Engineering from the Air Force Institute of Technology in Dayton OH. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for 7 years discharges as a Captain. Paul was employed as an Aeronautical Mechanical Engineer and worked for Pratt & Whitney, Avco Lycoming and Accurate Forging in Bristol, retiring from his trade in 2004. He was a Professor for many years at Naugatuck Valley Community College. Paul enjoyed hiking, camping, backpacking and the great outdoors. He was an avid student and admirer of Abraham Lincoln. For many years he was a Scout Leader of Pack #39 at St. Francis Xavier Church and was also a proud glider pilot. Paul was active in many local volunteer projects to assist those in need, especially the "Orphan Grain Train- New England". Paul's success in life was measured by his commitment to and love for, his family. A longtime member of the St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church he served as an elder, a member of the choir where he was known for his soloist abilities and he helped design the church's website and oversaw their pictorial directory. In Florida, he was a member of the Shepard of the Coast Lutheran Church, Fort Lauderdale. Paul and Eileen were proud and loyal members of the "Fatte Cuse". Paul will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know and love him.

Left to cherish his memory and honor his love and legacy, besides his devoted wife of 50 years are his son, Paul Kieffer and his wife, Rebecca of Prospect and his brother, David Kieffer and his wife, Alison of St Louis MO. Paul and Eileen were blessed with 4 beautiful grandchildren; Bryan Patrick, Sean Peter, Jack Jude, and Connor Xavier. He also leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Kieffer will be held on Tuesday March 3, 2020 at 10:00 am at St John Evangelical Lutheran Church 503 Chase Parkway Waterbury CT Those planning to attend are asked to meet directly at the church at 9:45 a.m. Burial with full military honors will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waterbury. Friends and relatives may visit with Paul's family on Monday March 2, 2020 from 4:00 till 7:00 p.m. at Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home, 1987 East Main St @ Southmayd Rd.
