AT THE O'NEILL FUNERAL HOME - Paul H. Knapp Sr. age 47 of Sylvan Lake Road passed away Thursday April 8, 2010. He was the husband of Joanne (Finnemore) Knapp and passed away on his 27th wedding anniversary.
Paul was born June 17, 1962 in Bridgeport, a son of Raymond E. and Judith Ann (Irving) Knapp Sr. and lived in Oakville and Watertown most of his life. He attended Watertown High School. Paul was currently employed as a machinist at Stride in Middlebury. He had also worked at Echo Mfg. in Watertown for over 20 years. Paul was a loving husband, father, and son who adored his children, his family and his dog. He was the type of person who could fix anything and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Besides his wife of 27 years of Oakville and parents of Watertown, he leaves two sons Paul H. Knapp Jr. of Watertown, Steven M. Knapp of Oakville, four daughters Heather K. Knapp, Suzy M. Fennelly, Kelly Knapp and Kristy Knapp all of Oakville, two brothers Raymond E. Knapp Jr. and his wife Karen of Watertown, Thomas R. Knapp of Watertown, several nieces and nephews and his dog Chester.
Funeral services for Paul will be private and at the convenience of his family. Family and friends may call at the O'Neill Funeral Home, 742 Main Street Oakville on Tuesday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Paul Knapp Sr. Memorial Fund, c/o Watertown Federal Credit Union, 48 Woodruff Ave. Watertown, CT 06795.
