THE CASEY FAMILY IS HONORED TO BE CARING FOR AND ASSISTING THE FAMILY OF PEARL COOK
NAUGATUCK - Pearl A. Cook, 88, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 23, 2018 with her son Bobby by her side at the Vitas Inpatient Unit at St. Mary's Hospital. She was the widow of Everett L. Cook.
Pearl was born in Richeyville, PA, the daughter of the late Robert Oliver and Iva Mae (Hatch) McCombs. She worked as a waitress, bumper bunny, and a factory worker and will be remembered for her beautiful, funny, kind, considerate, determined, courageous, generous and loving nature by all those who were blessed to have known and loved her. Pearl's favorite pastimes were horses, WWE wrestling, long rides to nowhere, the casino, embroidering, puzzles, find-a-word, holidays and talking to anyone - bringing smiles.
Mrs. Cook leaves her son Robert of PA currently residing in, CT. Her brother Tom McCombs of Florida, her sisters Betty McCormick and Helen Crockett of PA. She also leaves her long-lost but never forgotten son Danny Menego as well as several nieces and nephews and friends. She is predeceased by her brothers Edward and Robert McCombs of PA and T.C. McCombs of CT and her sister Wilma McCombs of PA.
The family wants to thank especially her longtime friend Phoebe Drown for all she has been and her nurse Robin of 27 years.
