WATERBURY - Pedro F. Doro age 67 of Waterbury, passed away unexpectedly on July 5, 2017 at The Vitas Innovative Care Unit at Saint Mary's Hospital after a brief illness. He was the husband of Lurdes (Morgado) Doro.
Pedro was born February 10, 1950 in Portugal, the son of the late Jose and Maria (Fernandes) Gaspar. He immigrated to the United States with his family in 1974 and spent many years working for the former Atlantic Pipe Corporation. He enjoyed traveling to Portugal and always said his heart would always stay there. Pedro was always happiest while spending time with his family, telling jokes or sitting outside in the garden with his dog, Tita.
Besides his beloved wife Lurdes of 41 years, Pedro is survived by his three sons, Jose Doro and his wife, Trisha of Waterbury, Michael Doro and his wife, Kimberly of Berlin, and Paola Doro and his girlfriend, Brittany of Waterbury. He is also survived by his sisters, Lourdes, Paulina, Albertina, and Margarida, as well as his two grandsons, Alex and Adrian, in addition to numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family members.
Funeral services for Mr. Doro will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at our Lady of Fatima Church, 2071 Baldwin St Waterbury, CT 06706 when a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 AM. Those planning to attend are asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery, Spring Lake Rd. Waterbury. Relatives and friends may visit with Pedro's family on Friday evening from 6:00 til 8:00 PM at Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home 1987 East Main St @ Southmayd Rd. Waterbury.
