Watertown CT Mrs. Prina Zibello age 94, formerly of Warner Avenue Watertown, passed away on July 13th 2012 at Apple Rehab Center in Watertown after an extended illness. She was the widow of Daniel Zibello.
Mrs. Zibello was born in Jeanette PA. on September 10th 1917, the daughter of the late Michael and Concetta (Venditti) Emanuel. She worked as home health aide for many years before retiring. Prina enjoyed cooking, swimming, and spending time with her family and friends. Prina was known as the neighborhood "Mom" or Aunt Prina, she was always willing to open her home to many friends, family, and neighbors and enjoyed hosting pool parties all summer long. She was a parishioner of Saint Mary Magdalen Church and was a member of their Rosary Society.
Among her survivors are her children, Daniel Zibello Jr. and his wife Theresa, of Hamden, Diana Dispoto, and her husband David, of Watertown, Concetta Giannini, and her husband Francis of Watertown and her grandchildren; Francis, Nancy, David, Michael, Paul, and Deanna; as well as ten great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The Zibello family would like to thank the nurses, doctors, and staff, at Apple Rehab Center for the loving care and support that they provided to Prina and all of her family over the past 5 years.
Funeral services for Mrs. Zibello will be held on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Mary Magdalen Church 45 Buckingham St Oakville, to Celebrate the Liturgy of Christian Burial. Rites of Committal and Interment will follow in Mt Olivet Cemetery. Those planning on attending are asked to meet directly at the church. Family and friends may visit at the O'Neill Funeral Home 742 Main St Oakville, on Monday, July 16th 2012 from 5:00-7:00pm.
