THE CASEY FAMILY IS HONORED TO BE ASSISTING AND CARING FOR THE FAMILY OF PRICILLA H. MUNSON
WATERBURY - Priscilla (Hoff) Munson, 90, of Waterbury, passed away peacefully under the care of the Vitas Innovative Care Unit at St. Mary's Hospital on Monday, December 16, 2019. She was a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.
Priscilla was born May 4, 1929 in Odanak, Quebec, Canada to the late Walter L. and Carrie (Paquette) Hoff. She was educated in Canada and eventually her family moved to Waterbury, CT. Shortly after, she met her husband, William L. Munson. She kept a warm and loving home, spending her time with her children. Family was always most important to Priscilla and remained that way throughout her life. Priscilla was a fabulous baker and loved to share her home-baked treats with her friends and family. She also enjoyed spending the day at the beach and special trips to Ocean City with her daughter, Lori. She will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know and love her.
Left to cherish her memory and honor her legacy are her children, William Munson of Thomaston, Patrick Munson of Southington, Daniel Munson of Oakville, Priscilla Jane Yuhas of Waterbury, Nancy Modeen of Wolcott, Linda Brady of Waterbury, Eileen Summa of Waterbury, Marjorie Morgan of Canton, and Lori Ayotte of Waterbury; her siblings, Douglas Hoff of San Diego, Gladys Hamilton of Uncasville, Marjorie Normand of Odanak, Canada. She also leaves 26 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, her husband of 54 years; her brothers; George Hoff and Chester Hoff and her sisters; Irene Hoff, Jean Hoff, Eunice Clark and Francis Hoff.
Funeral services for Mrs. Munson will be held on Friday, December 20, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John's Episcopal Church, 16 Church St., Waterbury, CT 06702. Those who wish to attend are kindly asked to meet directly at church. Burial will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
