WATERBURY - Rafael Prado Cotto, age 60 of Waterbury, passed away unexpectedly on December 14 2017 at home.
Rafael was born in Humacao Puerto Rico on January 2 1957 the son of the late Eustaquio and Carmen Luisa Prado.Rafael was a member of the Rivera Hughes Memorial Park Committee. He was an avid fan of the New York Yankees, New York Giants, New York Jets and the New York Knicks. He enjoyed fishing and spending times with his family and friends.
Rafael is survived by his partner of three years, Janice Williams, his children: Jose
Prado Ayala, Monica Prado - Gonzalez (David), Rafael Prado (Margarita), David Prado, John" Juan" Prado, Adrian Velez, Taina Prado, Kaikhita Freeman, Adam Prado and Jahayra Prado. He also leaves his sister, Carmen Prado, his brother, John Prado as well as 26 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mr. Prado will be held on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Saint Anne's Church "Todos Los Santos" 515 S Main St, Waterbury, CT 06706. Those planning to attend are asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Relatives and friends may visit with Rafael's family on Wednesday, December 20 2017 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 p.m. at Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home 1987 East Main St @ Southmayd Rd. Waterbury.
