WATERTOWN - Ralph John "Jack" Kenyon, age 90, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2017. He was the widower of Elizabeth (Flammia) Kenyon who passed away in January of 2013, and father to Stephen and Kathy Kenyon.

Jack was born in Waterbury, CT and was a graduate of Leavenworth High School. He proudly served with the US Navy during WWII as a frogman, forerunner of the Navy Seals. After being honorably discharged he returned to Waterbury and spent 42 years working as a lineman for Southern New England Telephone Company. The Kenyon family lived in Plymouth and Thomaston for many years, and Jack and Elizabeth moved to Watertown in 2005.

Jack will be remembered by his children, extended family and friends as a man with a great sense of humor, an affection for animals, and a love of wine.

Besides his children, Stephen Kenyon of Waterbury and Kathy Kenyon of Rocky Hill, Jack is survived by his sister, Cathy Holczer of Prospect, two granddaughters, Krista Rokes of Wethersfield and Alexis Colgan of Farmington, and three great-grandchildren, Amelia, William and Violet Rokes. He was predeceased by his grandson Bryce Kenyon, sisters Helen Blinstrubas and Dorothy Corkindale, and his brother David Kenyon.

A memorial service for Mr. Kenyon will be held on Monday June 19, 2017 at 11:00 am at Casey's Eastside Memorial, 1987 East Main Street @ Southmayd Rd., Waterbury. Burial will be held privately and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donation in Jack's Memorial can be made to the Humane Society of the United States, 1255 23rd Street, NW, Suite 450, Washington, DC 20037.
