WATERBURY - Ramon Perez-Rodriguez, age 79 of Waterbury, passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love and care of his family on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at the Vitas Innovative Care Unit of St. Mary's Hospital. He was the husband of the late Gladys Santiago.
Ramon was born on April 2, 1936 in Lajas, Puerto Rico, the son of the late Ramon Perez and Mercedes Rodriguez. Ramon immigrated to this country 30 years ago and lived first in New York and then in Waterbury. Ramon made is living for many years in the construction trade. Ramon loved spending time with his family, going out to dinner with them and playing dominos. He also enjoyed western movies and loved mariachi music. His family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to Western Area on Aging and Quality Home Care Agency and his caregivers Anna and Brenda for the loving care they provided to Ramon during his illness.
Ramon leaves to mourn his loss, his beloved daughter, Rosa and her husband, Larry Carlascio of Wolcott, his stepson, Eric Perez and stepdaughter, Neldys Rangel and his grandson, Mark Carlascio.
Funeral services for Mr. Perez-Rodriguez will be held on Monday, January 4, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home 1987 East Main St @ Southmayd Rd. Waterbury. Burial will follow in New Pine Grove Cemetery, Waterbury.
