THE CASEY FAMILY IS HONORED TO BE ASSISTING AND CARING FOR THE FAMILY OF RAYMOND LAMONTAGNE
WATERBURY- Raymond P. Lamontagne, age 78, of Waterbury passed away peacefully on Monday May 14th 2018 at the Vitas Innovative Care Unit at Saint Mary's Hospital surrounded by the love and comfort of his family after an extended illness. He was the devoted husband of Judith A. (Bosse) Lamontagne.
Ray was born September 15th 1939 in Waterbury, CT the son of the late Paul and Roseanna (Bisaillon) Lamontagne. He spent many years working as a building estimator at the former J.E. Smith building supply until his retirement. Ray was a devout Catholic and was devoted to his faith and his family and was a member of the Carmelites Religious Order and faithfully attended daily mass at the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception Church where he was an active parishioner for many years. He was a long time AA sponsor and was an avid Red Sox and Yankees fan and enjoyed golfing. What brought the greatest joy to Ray was spending time with his family especially his children and grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by all that were blessed to have known and met him.
Besides his devoted wife Judith of 53 years, Ray is survived by his children Steven Lamontagne and his wife Jennie of Southington, his daughter Kristen Fennessy and her husband Mike of Southington, as well as his brother Roger Lamontagne and his wife Dolores of Southington, and his grandchildren Aiden, Sarah, Tyler and Eric as well as many nieces, nephews and other extended family members. He is predeceased by his brother Marcel Lamontagne and sister Claire Duquette.
Funeral Services for Mr. Lamontagne will be held on Thursday, May 17th, 2018 at 10:00 AM at the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception Church 74 W. Main St Waterbury, CT. Those planning to attend are kindly asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will follow in Edgewood Cemetery Wolcott. Relatives and friends may visit with Ray's family at Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home 1987 East Main St @ Southmayd Rd. Waterbury CT 06705 on Wednesday evening from 5:00 till 7:00 PM.
