Raymond F. LaVoie ?" age 94 of Nottingham Terrace died peacefully January 30th at Meridian Manor Health Care Center after an extended illness. He was the husband of Florence (Christian) LaVoie.
Mr. LaVoie was born February 21st 1914 in Windham, CT the son of the late Antonio and Rachel (Guimond) LaVoie. He worked as tool and die maker at National Eastern Manufacturing for many years before his retirement. He had a passion for fly fishing and making his own fishing fly's and enjoyed traveling and camping.
Besides his wife of 33 years he is survived by his two sons Raymond LaVoie Jr. and John LaVoie of Goshen; His two step-sons Bruce King of Brookfield, and Kevin King of Torrington; his daughter Carol Skorupski of Beacon Falls; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Services: A memorial service for Mr. LaVoie will be held Wednesday February 4th 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Casey-O'Donnell Family Funeral Home 1581 East Main St Waterbury. There are no calling hours, burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
